Palmview Family,
Student input played an important role in shaping this week’s activities. As we prepare for this busy testing season, we are balancing strong instructional expectations with opportunities that help students de-stress, stay engaged, and feel celebrated.

🎉 Student Celebrations & Engagement

  • Battle of the Classes 📣
📍 Tomorrow (Tuesday) during 9th period in the gym — a fun, school-wide stress reliever for our students.

  • Attendance Celebration – Friday 🍽️
During 7th period, students will enjoy 492 BBQ as part of our attendance celebration.

  • Our next Good Life Celebration will focus on celebrating PROGRESS—growth matters, and every step forward counts.

⏰ Instructional Countdown

We are entering a critical stretch. Let’s make the most of every instructional minute:

  • 5 instructional days until the TELPAS testing window opens

  • 32 instructional days until STAAR testing begins

  • 51 instructional days until AP testing begins

Every day matters. Thank you for your intentional planning and instruction.

📚 Campus Instructional Focus

Our campus strategy remains:

THINK – WRITE – PAIR – SHARE,
using academic language and the ELA ACE strategy to support student responses across all content areas.

📅 Tuesday Schedule Highlights

Due to the English benchmark (Periods 1–6), the afternoon schedule will be used for the following:

  1. Grade-level attendance recognition during 7th period

  2. Completion of the fire drill and lockout drill during 8th period

  3. Battle of the Classes during 9th period for student stress relief

📌 Monitoring duties for 9th period will be communicated by department administrators.

👏 Staff Shout-Outs

  • Mrs. Vianey Chapa & Mr. Daniel Garza stepped in quickly to support additional students when a substitute was unavailable, ensuring students remained safe and engaged. Thank you for your flexibility and leadership.

🎶🏆 Fine Arts & Athletics Highlights

Our Fine Arts and Athletic Departments continue to shine:

These experiences are possible because of the dedication, time, and heart our staff pours into students every day.

Let’s finish the week strong, Lobos. 🐺💙
