November is Family Literacy Month

November is โ€” a wonderful time to celebrate the joy of reading and the importance of literacy at home and school! We encourage you to take part by promoting family reading activities throughout the month. Our campus library will be sharing activities as well.

Here are a few simple ideas to get started:

๐Ÿ“– Encourage students to read with a family member and record their reading minutes each week.

๐Ÿ’Œ Have families submit a photo of their favorite โ€œreading spotโ€ at home.

๐Ÿ“ Invite students to share a short book review or recommendation.

๐ŸŽง Take time for daily or weekly read-aloud sessionsโ€”students love hearing their teachers or parents read!

The first week of November is Children's Book Week! Each day will highlight a theme inspired by childrenโ€™s literature and reading. Let's all join in and dress up!!
